Workshop on “Biostatistics using R” was conducted by SLAFAR in collaboration with the Department of Zoology & Environmental Management, University of Kelaniya. The workshop was conducted on 16th December 2017 at the University of Kelaniya. The resource person for the workshop was Dr. U.P. Liyanage of the Department of Statistics & Computer Science, University of Kelaniya. There were more than 20 participants representing national universities and national institutions who are carrying out research in the fields of fisheries biology & management, environmental science and aquatic ecology. The participants had very productive discussions of analysis of their research data with R and gained hands of experiences on applications of R software in analysis of biological data. Dr. Dimuthu Wijeyaratne and Dr. Mangala Yatawara organized this workshop on behalf of SLAFAR
