Scientific Writing Workshop

SLAFAR with the financial support of BOBLME has organized a scientific writing workshop for young scientists, who presented their research findings in the 19th Annual Scientific Sessions of SLAFAR. The workshop was a four days residential program held at Tamarind Tree Hotel, Minuwangoda. The objectives were similar to the first scientific writing workshop. There were 26 participants from University of Kelaniya, University of Peradeniya, University of Ruhuna, Wayamba University of Sri Lanka, Uwa wellassa University of Sri Lanka, Ocean University, National Aquatic Resources Research and Development Agency (NARA), National Aquaculture Development Authority (NAQDA), Marine Environmental Protection Authority and National Dengue Control Unite represented the workshop. Eighteen manuscripts were submitted to the Sri Lanka Journal of Aquatic Sciences as the final outcome of the workshop. Dr. Sevvandi Jayakody from Wayamba University of Sri Lanka facilitated the workshop as the chief facilitator and Prof. J.M.P.K. Jayasinghe, Wayamba University of Sri Lanka; Prof E.I.L. Silva, Water Resources Science and Technology; Prof. J. Katupotha, University of Sri Jayawardenapura and Dr. M.D.S.T. de Croos, Wyamba University of Sri Lanka were guided the participants as co-facilitators.
