Jointly organised with NARA and SEASL
One day international seminar on Length Based Spawning Potential, by Dr. Jeremy Prince and Dr. Adrian Hordyck from Murdoch University, Wesern Australia, was successfully conducted at National Aquatic Resource Research and Development Agency (NARA).
More than 50 participants representing universities, local & international research institutions and government bodies were attended to this seminar. Discussion and brainstorming session was fruitful in evaluating the use of length based spawning potential (LBSP) in estimating the life history parameters of fish stocks in data poor fisheries. Seminar was highly admired by the participants and ones who are interested in fish population dynamics and fishery management. Dr. Dileepa de Croos organised this seminar on behalf of SLAFAR.
