Sri Lankan Association for Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (SLAFAR) in collaboration with the Department of Zoology and Environmental Management successfully organized a workshop on “Statistics for Biological Research”
This workshop was held in the Department of Zoology and Environmental Management, Faculty of Science, University of Kelaniya on 11th and 12th February 2016. The resource persons of the workshop were Professor. M.J.S. Wijeyaratne and Professor. W.U. Chandrasekara
The inauguration ceremony of this workshop was held at the Board Room of the Faculty of Science and the Chief Guest of the event was Professor SunandaMaddumaBandara, the Vice Chancellor, University of Kelaniya.
The objective of the workshop was to provide knowledge and hands on experience on tools required for statistical analysis of biological data had been achieved by twenty five participants representing national universities and national research institutions who are carrying out research in biology, environmental management and related fields attended the workshop and they had very productive discussions related to statistical analysis of their research data.
